Jean Dyson, a native of Mineral County, full-time parent and former hair stylist is the warm greeting voice of MMH most days when you call or visit our office. She processes referrals and is a helpful resource to link and connect you with other services if we are not available to meet your needs. Jean has a special empathy & compassion for those facing life's challenges.
Heidi Fields, a Licensed Professional Counselor & a lifelong Hampshire County resident, along with a great team, started MMH to meet the need for home, school & community based counseling in the area. Heidi provides limited direct counseling services at this time for adults with BCBS & PEIA as she is currently recruiting & supervising staff and strengthening & supporting programs and services. Heidi has over 25 years of experience in the mental health field.
Paiton Stotler, a native of Hampshire County, is graduating from Liberty University with her Bachelor’s in Psychology and continuing her education at Liberty to earn her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Paiton has worked in various settings with children, adolescents, and adults as she recently completed her internship at MMH. She is especially excited to begin her career providing supportive counseling at a local recovery home.
Keith Ackerman, a native of Mineral County, served in the Army Reserve being Honorably Discharged before beginning a career in Corrections as an Officer, Counselor & as the Director of Inmate Services in the WV Regional Jail System for over 17 years. He was a WV Supreme Court Probation Officer for specialized offenders for 8 years before joining & helping to establish MMH. Keith earned undergrad & graduate degrees from Fairmont State College & WVU and enjoys assisting children & adults with difficulties they may be suffering with so they can feel improvement in how they view themselves & manage their lives.
Cheryl Healy, a Hampshire County resident has served children & adolescents in the area for over 20 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree from WVU & Master’s degree from Liberty University. Cheryl is a Certified Child & Adolescent Trauma Professional and specializes in Trauma-Focused CBT and Play & Expressive Therapy. She is dedicated to supporting our youth’s emotional and social development while encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concept. Cheryl primarily provides school-based services.
Jacque O’Neil has over 18 years experience in the counseling field with an emphasis on treating substance abuse disorders. At this time, she is certified as a CSC-AD however, is in the process of obtaining her license as a professional counselor in the state of West Virginia. She graduated summa cum laude with a graduate degree in School Counseling at Frostburg State University. Currently, she is facilitating Intensive Outpatient Services with residents at a local recovery home and supervising Peer Recovery Support Staff as well as seeing additional clients at the office in Romney.
Madison Fields, a lifelong Hampshire County resident, graduated from WVU and Liberty University and has worked previously in youth corrections before joining and helping to establish MMH. Madison works with adults and adolescents and especially enjoys school-based therapy services.
Candice Hartman, a Mineral County native specializes in Trauma-Focused CBT and Play & Expressive Therapy with children and adolescents. Candi has served the greater Panhandle area for over 20 years and is a passionate clinician who also dedicates much of her personal time in support of youth as a Girl Scout Leader. Candi obtained a graduate degree in Community Counseling from Liberty University.
Erica Mangold is a Mineral County resident who received her bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University & her Master’s degree from University of Maryland University College. She is a certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor in the state of WV and has experience working in various settings with children, adolescents & adults. She will be providing office, home, school & community-based services with children & adults.
